Hi all here's my entry into Ron's GB

Nice one Colin, I've been looking at this one, thinking should I get it or not. So I'll watch this to see if it can make my mind up.

Hi all made a start on the marksman. It's took 3 hours to assemble the road wheels 5 parts per wheel the detail is amazing and no flash.

Hi all i mamaged to get some time at the bench today up to now I've assembled 84 parts and all I have to show for it is the lower hull,running gear and road wheels done.
The only problem I've encountered is the thickness of the sprue gates which take some sanding off.

Hi all i have managed to get the turret built there are some places that needed filling. Other than that there's no flash or ejector pin marks to worry about.
Also I have made a start on the tracks 97 per side and 2 parts per link

Cool! Did they ever see service or were they surpassed by the Gerpard for mainland deployment during the cold war?:thumb2:

Unfortunately the chieftain version was never adopted by the British army but the marksman turret is in service with the Finnish military and I think Poland has them mounted on a T62 chassis.
It can also be mounted on leopard ,Abrams ,challenger and some types of south African 6x6 armoured vehicles.

Finally managed to get some more work done on my G.B entry . The tracks went together nicely and the P.E was simple to work with .

Hi all here's the latest update on my G.B entry everything has been primed and given a base coat of tamiya xf61 just need to paint the lights and extinguishers. I have left the exhaust system off so I can rust the pipework up before attaching it to the rear bulkhead.
