Hi folks just completed the Revell Aggressor a £12 buy from under the table at one of the shows I've attended in the past. I really like the look of this aircraft which as some nice lines and symmetry to it also love the camo schemes. I think I'll be on the lookout for an upmarket version in a bigger scale once things return to some kind of normality. Here she is and I hope you like her. Thanks for looking in and any comments left.
Cheers JohnIMG_0941.JPGIMG_0942.JPGIMG_0945.JPGIMG_0947.JPGIMG_0948.JPGIMG_0949.JPG

That looks really nice.

Interesting 'camo', a bit like the WW2 USN three colour scheme turned ninety degrees :)

Love this John , I’ve always liked the aggressor scheme and as you say the f5 is a very handsome aircraft. Top work with the spraying , that camo is perfect , cheers tony

All what monica said cannot put it any better an a question isn't there a stars an bars decal on the wing ?
chris
Hi Chris thanks for your feedback. There was no callout in the instructions for a decal on the wing and only two were supplied on the decal sheet. These were placed on the fuselage as directed. I have however after previously looking at lots of Aggressors on the internet seen them with/without stars and bars. I do have some spare decals from previous kits that I could use now you've raised the question but for now I'll leave it. The only decals I normally leave out are the ones you have to wear glasses for while looking through a jewellers loop and a magnifying lamp at the same time.
Cheers John

Hi Chris in answer to your question my honest answer is I don't know. I did watch a video on you tube which talked about the aggressor and the tiger but I obviously wasn't giving it enough attention at the time.I do have a tiger in the stash somewhere so I imagine I'll be watching the videos again. Sorry I couldn't help. Cheers JohnIMG_1008.JPG

Background
The F-5 was developed by Northrop Grumman for export through the Military Assistance Program (MAP) in February 1965. This aircraft was initially offered as a candidate for a U.S. lightweight fighter, but became extremely popular as an export finding its niche in the overseas market. In December 1970, Northrop Grumman began development and production on the F-5A-21, an aircraft design that emphasized maneuverability rather than high speed and was officially reclassified as the F-5E. The F-5N/Fs are third-generation F-5 fighter aircraft designed for replacement of the F-5A/B/E production models. These aging aircraft were replaced by low-hour F-5E/F aircraft acquired from the Swiss Air Force surplus by United States Navy (USN) in 2006.

The Swiss aircraft were updated as F-5N/Fs with modernized avionics and other improved systems and re-baselined by Northrup Grumman to USN configuration which provided a safer, lower-flight time Adversary aircraft with increased capability for Department of Navy (DoN) pilots. These aircraft are assigned to Government facilities, namely, NAS Key West, Florida, MCAS Yuma, Arizona, and NAS Fallon, Nevada and continue to support the adversary training mission.
