Great job Monica, Sure is gruesome as you warned (even a beheading with a rather cold looking and relaxed Japanese officer)! Nice work on the diorama, lots of attention and detail to the ground and plantation. The figures are all nicely painted and presented. Great work all round I say.

ta Joe do real appreciate the nice comments ,and so glad that you like it, :)

I,m glad that you think that way about the Japanese office,as thats the way i did intend him to look, cold and brutal,

but nun the less, true and real not so diffidence from the US with there head trophy on their tanks,:eek:

the reason behind this being a bit crowed,is the fact what has happened,

that the marines just could not stand by and see this happen so attacked with all they had, ;)

Awesome job Monica, the American version of a banzai charge.

The groundwork is amazing and the story is convincing. The blood on the katana is a nice touch. I've never built an "action" diorama before due to perceived difficulty but you have nailed it.

I always think a diorama should tell a story and, if possible, make you think. This does both in spades! Well thought through and put together and well built.

ta Aaron and Richard,so glad that you both do like it,and real appreciate the nice comments, :D

That is horrific Monica, but I'm sure that's what you were after

Great build as Joe say's the plantation and groundwork is spot on. Looking forward to more great work from you

ta Scott,Ian,so glad that you like it,and appreciate the comments,

It,s what i did wont to show and have been thinking of this one for so long,

it would be like it is or it was just going to be the officer standing over the headless body

,but decided to mix it up and take some away from the beheading of the marine

Great and imaginative piece of work Monica. Well up to your excellent standard, now......

Pass the sick bucket!

This is a great dio, yes gruesome but realistic...Glad to see you didn't loose your head on this one o_O

Ok...I'm leaving...

Lee :)

Great action dioarama Monica I'm so glad you didn't sugarcoat it! Back then the japs were evil ruthless and merciless so glad times have changed for the better since then.(love and peace)

ta,Amos,Ron, Lee,John, so glad you all like it,and do appreciate all the nice comments, :)

showed it the way that i could see it happening as it was not a nice part of the war,and

remember that the Japanese were defending there homeland, ;)

OMG!!! you are truly the QUEEN OF GORE! absolutely LOVE IT! love the beheading! so much going on can't take it all in in one swipe! are those chicken feathers used for palm leaves? sorry but must steal that idea again BRAVO MY DEAR!

ah cool so glad that you like it,Jim, :D

I think with this one i got my point across,so how, lol,

yes there are chicken feathers and i would like to see how your palms, turn out as well,

always like to share idea,s with others, ;)

That is pretty damn good! You have captured the essence of the moment!

I've just finished watching "Pacific" on the box and that was pure "horror" for the US Marines and Japanese who survived and died there on those islands...........I think I can relate!

Great work again Monica. Painting one figure is enough for me - you do loads !!!!
