As most of you can see i have a gif picture running in my signiture. For some reason it appears not to be working on my pc but whenever i use a different one it does. Now i know it's something to do with settings but for the life of me i have no idea which ones. It's not just this site either. It's on every other forum i go on too. Hence why i know it's my settings.

Can someone please explain what i need to do in plain (dumb) English as i'm not a computer geek type person :)

That makes two us & counting Allyne.

My usual recourse with problem JEGS is to open in some programme or other photo or desk top. Then import then export under a new name & adjusting using the programme export settings. Not scientific but found that works in a good number of cases.

I thought gif was what you put on your pancakes, thats what i know about computers!!! , if its any consolation i can see it working fine allyne , that he 111 is like the terminator, it keeps getting shot up but it still keeps coming!!!!!! cheers tony

Which browser are you using? Sometimes clearing the cache isn't enough.

Try updating your Adobe Flash player and Java software to the latest versions.

That won't have any effect on this. Its most likely a cache problem within the browser or possibly a proxy/cache server which is sitting between you and the photobucket server.

Try this: go to Tools->internet options then on the General tab click Settings in teh "Browsing History" section.

Make sure "Everytime I visit the webpage" is selected. By default this is set to "Automatically" which isn't always reliable in this sort of situation.

Click OK etc until you are back to the main browser then refresh the page a couple of times...

Yeah, Andrews right, ignore the update comment ... my brain skipped the bit about other different images working when i read the first post .. proceed with the cache clearing methods

Still hasn't worked. I've refreshed about ten times so far. Maybe a reboot is in order

What do you see, Al? Is it an empty box with the x in the top corner?

No it's the first frame of the gif. A spitfire diving down on the bombers below

Allyne, I see your signature gif if I'm not logged in, but don't see it when I'm logged in.

I haven't worked out why yet, but that could be a clue to an answer??

just checked settings... by default, there's a setting for showing (or not) signatures.. by default it's off.

ok, sorry, red herring probably.
