Hi guys. Yet another excellent day out at the Cosford show today. The Cosford branch of Scale Models UK is going from strength to strength with about 10 of us showing up today - despite missing a couple of the regulars.

Plenty of chat, food and good company with some bargain kits too. What more could a man ask?

This is what I managed to get.

Gern

PS Ron - you MUST tell everyone what you got this year - preferably with pictures!

Yep , superb day dave . Great company , great venue and some great purchases. Congratulations must also go to Ian and Ron , who got some well deserved recognition in the competition , Ian getting a second place in the ships class with his King George V and Ron scooping a first in the Diorama class with the 'Ambush' village scene. There were Tunnocks caramel wafers and eccles cakes in abundance and special thanks go to Justine (mrs Ron) for making us all a bacon butty in Rons camper!!!! I managed to get a few kits ive been after for a while to top off a brilliant day , heres to the next one ! cheers tony

Home of this years Scale Models Forum Annual get together.

Well the time has come around again for the Scale Models Forum annual meet and what better place to old the venue than the Cosford Air Museum.

The weather was great and a fantastic time was had by all. After our usual meet under the Vulcan wing we all set off to the café and sat around for a good old catch up. The Ecclescakes were flowing and were complimented by a nice display of Turncock's Caramel Biscuits.

On site catering provided by: Dave - Gern, Tony - Yak Face

Chuck Wagon Supplied by: Mr & Mrs Ron - Spanners 570

Photography by: Andy - Sky Raider trying out his new camera.

Some pictures from the show. Not many sorry was trying to look after a 3 year old and the Mrs at the same time. Not easy at a model show.

yeah me too Andy.... missing out it seems eh.

congratulations to Ian, whatever won must have been bloody good to beat that George V. .... and maybe next time we say that one of Rons dios is a show winner ... he'll believe us :) ...

top job guvnor :) :) :)

Sounds like you all had a good day out.I was enjoying the day at the Wembley cup final. And then the game started.....Losing one nil after 5 minutes and not playing well.It could only end one way.And it did.Lucky to lose only 2 nil.Should have gone to Cosford I hear you all cry!.

I saw you arrive in your camper van but was on my way to have a quick chat with some traders, then the day just ran away from me, I spent very little time on our table as I was busy "networking". Sadly missing out on the butties :(

The main reason behind all my running around was that I am trying to see if there would be any interest in creating a large show in the Wolverhampton area in August, I've had some positive feedback form a couple of main dealers and so will pursue it further :)

Cheers

Shame we didnt meet up adrian , and dave- sorry about the match result! You can both take consolation in the fact your tunnocks caramel wafers didnt get wasted!!! mmmm!! cheers tony

i too had a wonderful day with wonderful company, a second thanks go to ron and mrs for the lovely bacon sarnies, thanks for the eccles cakes and tunnocks and the bonus raffle (which i won) was a very nice touch and unexpected with lots of goodies in which will prove very usefull so thanks to ron and tony for that. thanks to ian for the coffee as well. well done to ian and ron for their medals on two cracking models.. i will post my purchases on daves thread.. unfortunatly i did not take any photos as i only had my phone with me which has developed some rather frightening blemishes on the screen, but dont ask why as i am quite embarrassed at my attempts at cleaning it.

certainly didnt tony,i ate a pack of four on the drive home.....lol

okay, here is what i wasted all my money on today, decided i have enough tanks and planes so my real interest are coming forward, sci-fi
