Nice to see these Dave, I missed every one of these, except the carrier. Mind you it was 10ft long!!!

I reckon I was too busy looking at the price tags on the kit boxes..

Some great shots there. Looks well worth a visit. Is that Lightning suspended vertical?

I think the seaplane is a P-6M Seamaster

Hi Graham,

Yeah. The Lightning is just hangin' upright. I remember seeing if do just that at an airshow. It flew in to do the usual flybys and some fancy manoeuvres. When it was time to go it flew at low level to somewhere near the middle of the airfield and turned upright. The pilot put on the gas and the thing just climbed vertically 'til it was out of sight. Wonderful!

I think you're right about that seaplane. Doesn't it look beautiful?

I've found that Anigrand make/made one in 1/72 so I guess that's the kit. I'm going to add that to my wanted list!

hi dave, great pics ,thanks, ive definitely got to go again because not only did i not have time to see the exhibits i think i missed out a whole hangars worth!!! I dont recall seeing the comet,argosy,f111 etc. at all! Im especially gutted i didnt see the excellent diorama featuring the tupolev 'bear' Cheers tony

I used to love the Lightnings and the Vulcan 'Scramble' years ago when I used to go to the Finningly Air Show (now Robin hood Airport i believe) the power as those old jets climbed was amazing, not only the noise but yo actually felt it, oh happy days.....

Did you go to the same show as us? LOL.

All those you say you missed are in the same hangar as the Vulcan where we met up!

Looks like another meeting next year. Summat to look forward to!

Hi Gern nice pics mate, all i did was carry my camera kit around only took about four shots the whole time as i got somewhat distracted..... all day i will need to pay another visit there at another time.
