I'm absolutely gutted i missed it said I would be there how many times have u heard that but wedding plans got in the way I was looking at suits instead of looking at some quality models there's always next time

Great pics andy. Ill finish the line up - third from left - colin m , fourth from left - me , far right - rich . A good time was had by all , with quite a few nice hauls , and we got a beautiful day again too! Congrats to scott on his placing in the competition! cheers tony

First off, special congratulations to Scott for picking up his awards. Top stuff fella!...I just wish now that I hadn't told him about the comp....I might have stood a chance with him out of the way!!!

Thanks to Andy for posting his great selection of photos for us to share. I'm afraid all I took were a ruck of one particular tank, sorry boys!

It was great to meet the lads, old faces and new. Thanks for the Eccles cakes Dave (gern).....Debt payed, for now!

Thanks also for the birthday prezzy Tony (yakface) gave to Dave and I, and thanks to the cafe for a couple of stirrers!

All in all a great day out.

I'm here to agree with what's already been said and to thank the rest of the guys for the pleasure of their company! You turned a good day out into a great one!

Ron, I'm glad I'm now out of your debt. Goodness knows what would happen if I let slip that the reason you're so good at dioramas is really genetic and nothing to do with your background and training.

Tony, I know I have the breaking strain of wet tissue paper when it comes to buying kits so it didn't take much, but I'm glad you forced me to buy that Bell 47 and the Il-2. They're both excellent kits, and I shall enjoy dreaming about building them even if I die of old age before they get to the top of my 'to do' list!

I'd also like to thank you both for helping me decide what to do for the Vietnam GB.

Hi all just to say thanks to everyone for their company on sunday, i must admit i really had a great day, as you have no doubt heard Ron and i entered some bits into the competition and to my great surprise i was lucky enough to take third place in two catagories thanks to ron for convincing me that i should just do it. I did find a couple of nice kits and dave beat me to a k44 gun, never mind all is fare in love and modelling i say. Unfortunately i forgot my camera yet again, so i only took a few pics on my mobile phone sooooo when i figure out how to upload them i will but what a cracking day and i did eventually arrive there as my satnav had me in some farmers drive way bloody technology lol but i look forward to next years with great gusto thanks folks for making it a fantastic day.

did you find your way home ok scott? got a couple of pics but i took more of the museum rather than the models,congrats to scott, i was with him when he saw the placings on his models and the look on his face was quite funny.

Thanks to all of you for posting the piccies, it's nice to see what i've missed from living so far away from the action up here :) .

Well done Scott regarding the competition, well deserved no doubt.

Typical that Dave not only gets a 47D, but he gets the M*A*S*H bugger .... been after one of those for ages to complete my M*A*S*H dio i have planned .... i actually sulked slightly when i read your post mate :)
