Hello guys,

here is todays update

I gave the bricks a overall cover of matt red, seems good enough for me to start with.

now i need some ideas on the mortar color, I was thinking about a nice gray.

I think a beige colour mortar may look better Richard. The pics show a deep red colour so a wash or two to tone it down may help, saying that, it could just the pictures.

Hi,

so here is todays update.

Yesterday I filled in the gabs between the bricks, you can see the difference in the picture taken from the right side there I left a view spots open.

Toned it completely down with orange and did some different colored bricks. The pictures don’t show all the details. Furthermore I put on a roof and test fitted the floors.

The idea of beige mortar sounds good; I will give it a try.

So here are the pictures, the last 3 I used the blitz.

Cheers Richi

Freaking awesome! Love it, the textures, colouring, roofing all come together perfectly, once finished this is going to be one lovely building. I adore that rustic door and hinges.

Top build from me and it ain't even finished.

Hello all,so here’s the update on the Dutch building.

I made some windows a door and painted them with a basecoat off green.

Then I started to make the rain pipes and made a first test fit and made a scale picture with a figurine.

Now I can paint them with a basecoat of grey and then I will try to do a shipping effect on the pipes (never did that).

Here are the pictures.

Hello guys,

thank u all for the compliments.

bin a while but here’s a little update on the house build.

Made a stove, haven’t decided on which one to use.

Then I started with printing some wallpaper and cut them to the proper scale size I think, 16mm should be near the real size, then I thought to myself, well Richard you ordered some 0,5mm plastic sheet let’s see how well your plotter cuts it. So I have drawn a kid rocking horse and used my plotter to do the carving and it did work.

Build the little horse together and checked the size by putting a grownup and a 10 year old kid (I think:rolleyes:) beside it.

But here are the pictures

Thanks Ian,

but your comment didn't show up on the Recent Threads.

?? :/

Then I am stumped! I just had a look in the "guts and gore" and every thing looks like they should come up in the new posts. I must admit that I to think its a bit hit and miss at times...

Afraid I have no idea as to why.

Hi guys,

well it has been a while but here is a little update on the Dutch building.

Started to make some scratch furniture and a lamp. Ok after building the lamp I was thinking how about one that has a real light in it so don that with an LED but I thought to myself what about SMD,s

So I ordered some of those but they are really small so I didn’t try that yet.

And I made some roof tile pieces just make them fit the roof.

But here are the pictures.
