Hi All,
I thought I would have a pop at this beast.
I have picked up the Lion Roar Metal barrel & photo etch,
also some stick on mirrors & a lovely reference book from Kagero.
Here are some pics of the sprues etc.
I think I will go with a Nato camo version.
Regards
David

Hi Colin,
I've not started the photo etch yet. I'm off to get some CA glue today.
The etch is the one part of the build that has me a little nervous, though I will not cut any plastic off until I've folded any metal.
I'm trying to fit this build in between painting up a 'Flames of War' force so this build will progress slowly, like most of my builds ;-).

This looks to be a great kit with some great AM. Is this your first time with PE mate? If so, buy a PE Tool

Hi John,
Yes, it's a lovely kit.
Though you do need to buy a PE set to finish it. Tamiya do one for the kit, but I opted for the Lion roar set because it included the metal barrel.
The PE is going okay. I use an RB Productions Flip-R10 tool which I find very good.
I will add some more pics soon.

Have you tried Cyano Gell for your PE, I have found it easier to use than the liquid version.

the RB one is certainly a nice tool

Looks very nice, but why oh why Tamiya put metal road wheels in, when a one piece metal barrel would have been so much better (?)
