The third wing assembly has taken place and the other two wing leading edges planed and sanded checking each joint at this stage of the construction,also the spruce material for the wing struts was sanded to a streamlined section in readiness for making up the interplane struts.

There will be no building tonight dad I have taken over your building board again ! nice warm balsa wood to rest my chin on,dont mind if I push that Permagrit out of the way too.

First trial fit of the wings this evening,a few adjustments to make before I fashion the wing struts from spruce.

My old Hornet Moth,many happy hours rebuilding her back in 1960,she is still flying.

Spent the day covering the Hornet Moth after installing the servo's and wiring.

Just catching up. Nice to see the Chief inspector hard at it ! All looking very nice. And you owned the real thing as well, there must be some stories there ?

Yes a lot of stories in the days when things were very different Colin,not like the cotton wool world of today we live in,very proud to have been in aviation in the golden years with more freedom to fly aeroplanes.
