Hi all
So the usual set of pics from this show, which was last weekend.
I think this is the third time I have been to this show, which is always well attended and has the great advantage of being in amongst the museum's exhibits.
As may recall, I have also went to the museum towards the end of last year - the visit thread for which you can find HERE.
There aren't quite as many pics as usual because, as with the last show, there were quite a few repeat clubs from previous shows.
That said, and I hope you don't mind, but in view of the fewer number of pics from the show, I have decided to do a bit of a spotlight on what some of our club members do.
As usual, you can find the full album HERE.
ACW as usual and I hope you enjoy them.

A reminder of the backdrop to the show!!!

My club's stand

My usual motley collection...which you should have seen on here.....I really do need to up my output rate!

Next up, our club secretary Dave.
Of all of us he probably does the most diverse range of topics. He normally focuses on more unusual topics, albeit does still do some mainstream topics e.g. the Beaufighter. He's also been dabbling with 3D resin printing recently and is also happy to do quite a bit of scratch-building.

In this case he wanted to build a Mk I tank from WW1 but couldn't find a kit - or only for stupid money - so he took a Tamiya Mk IV and created a whole new top and rear, and also scratched the steering trolley, sponsons and guns.

He's also done his own versions of the various British TOGs from WW2 @ 1/35, having visited the Tank Museum to look at their plans. The one with the Matilda turret, is mostly plastic card, plus a Tamiya Matilda turret and some 3D printing (I think mainly the tracks). The one with the side sponsons is plastic card and a bit more 3D printing. TOG II is entirely 3D resin printed.

Then there is Peter
He has only been modelling for a few years and whilst he started off with armour, I have corrupted him and he's started branching out into planes. He's putting together a collection of Spanish Civil War kits. Oh and he also does toon tanks...adorned with 1/35 crew figures, which works best from a scale perspective.
