HELP!!! I accidently put a decal on crooked and just released much later, how can I move it? I dabbed water onto it but it is stuck

Stefan have you tried decal soft to see if that helps? If you don't already know this softens up the decal to allow it to adhere better, so once it is crinklyyou might be able to move it into position.

Give it a coating of MicroSet - that should free it without damage.

If you've noticed "much later" I'm assuming that it is thoroughly dried and stuck. You are going to have to destroy the decal,it's a question of limiting the collateral damage.

I'd give it Microsol rather than Microset. This may not lift it if it's been on for a while but it should soften it and maybe even break it up. Remove the decal (or parts) with some sticky tape,good old sellotape will work. You need to be careful not to damage the underlying paint but there is always a chance you will.

I agree with Steve, if it has been on there a while, it isn't likely that you can re float it. Safe removal and a replacement is the order of the day I am afraid.

I have had this problem last week. Not that I put the decal on wonky, I wanted to change the code and serials on a Spitfire I built in the summer. NO amount of Micro sol or set would do the trick. A fine sanding stick did the trick just fine. Only a minor touch up in the paint was required.
