Seat Unit

Well ive been pratting around with this for a week or two on and off..its almost completed. The final pictures show the applied decals stewing away after being washed with microsol. Once this has been completed i'll do a finla clean up, smarten up any mess around the pe/reaffix if necessary and then apply klear.

i will attach the exhaust bracket (which i'll picture in another post) and finally the camera. this is because they are very fragile and also in the case of the exhaust bracket, i want to make sure that it fits!!

You will see that ive carbon fibred the inside of the seat unit. Next i fixed up the millions of connectors and wires for the electrical boxes, plus the strapping etc.

Once the electrical boxes were fixed and wired i begain adding the decals. I did this over a couple of days to be on the safe side. Then i did some touch up painting here and there. The unit is now sweating underneath a coat of microsol, so depending on how it looks tomorrow, it'll get a bit more or i'll do the final cleanup of the finish before applying the klear. The carbon inside the seat will be left dull to add more realism.

Engine into frame

So heres a few pics. They were taken immediately after id glued some PE parts in place so i cleaned up the model afterwards. the images make the piece look dusty but in reality it looks fine. its probably a combination of super macro photography and the intense light.

im leaving everything to set for a while before i commence the next phase...no doubt i'll have a thousand tiny PE parts missing in action..

Anyway, i hope you enjoy the pics!

Funky, you do realise that you are painting yourself into a corner don't you.

How on earth are you going to top this off. I have seen some detailed MC builds but this is pretty unbelievable.

PS did I say I like it.

hehe..

cheers ian :noidea:

ive got a couple of other ideas in the pipeline though!! My next build might be something a bit less..err....intense first though (but i have already accumulated plenty of bits and bobs for my next monster build ssshhh...keep it on the down low)

Well you keep it under wraps- You might want to suggest a bike SIG build.....
