discussion do they make pre made models to practice painting?

Anyone know if pre assembled plastic models of tanks or planes are sold that one can prime and practice painting? Or do i have to glue and make my own?

I dont think they exist, i heard about pre-painted model. Just buy those really cheap model or practice with plastic bottle. Or inner part of the model that won't be seen when assembled

I'm with Leo you can get a cheap kit ,they can be found on evil-bay frequently. Anyything can be used as a paint mule though it does'nt have to be a whole kit.

Hobbyboss make ' easy assembly ' kits where there are a minimum of parts. The fuselage & wings are single pieces for example, so something like that might suit you.

I find plastic bottles and a variety of different shaped plastic packaging ideal for practising painting. Alternatively, very cheap kits from eBay etc. can be thrown together, as others have said. Sometimes you see (collections of) part-built or incomplete kits 'for spares' on eBay, though I'm often surprised at the prices these seem to sell for.

I suspect that an old kit can be bought very cheaply on eBay and glued together in less than half an hour to be used as a paint 'hack'. You can also buy exactly the type of kit that you want to practise on, i.e. aircraft, armour etc.

Just use what ever is at hand. plastic, wooden, card, it dont matter.

Just prime and paint.

I agree with Ian, use anything in the house to practise on (within reason of course ) Or if you really fancy wanting to try painting a model, look for the easy clip ones or even cheap part builds on ebay, they can be primed over and re-done. My 3 hour challenge I set myself was just a 1/72 Tiger 1 tank, only ten pieces to glue together, no tracks to faff with or little bits, straight forward and your ready to paint it in 10 mins after glueing.
