(edit) I really am a really dedicated real ale drinker as well - but drink too many and the fluid capacity might stretch my lean, mean abs so that I start to look like a lager drinker ...
No promotion ladder here, 30 engineers, 2 senior engineers (me), regional manager. So no moving until he goes. And as we're the only region that doesn't physically connect to another (Also the largest area wise ) there's no going elsewhere without relocation and I did enough moving around when growing up to not want to subject my children to it.
Fully understand that Karl - too many addresses, too many schools ...
Every two years, and as my dad was ARR most of his career it wasn't even the same faces moving with us.

Yesterday , abandoned engineering, the London underground and most documentaries .
A few series, Dad's Army , any thing produced in the heyday of TV like early Minder and Agatha Christie's Poirot.
In the summer of course it's the garden !
