I've just spent three hours cleaning up the parts and putting the little buggers together. And I'm not even halfway there yet. Radios, fuse boxes, Junction boxes, racks and some damnn thing that I have no idea what it is...... I have to paint and detail this lot and I'm planning on chucking in a load of wiring as well........ I'll be here forever on this\ said:that is a lot of radios,to work on keep you out of trouble for a bit lol,![]()
Glad to have you along Jim. Thanks.\ said:Coming along nicely Peter, just letting you know I'm following along...............Jim

Good point Patrick ......... I'll stick with the two "squaddies" on the radios.\ said:Peter I would expect that the crew to be Wehrmacht - Goring treated the Luftwaffe like his own private fiefdom. He wouldn't release Fw-200 aircraft to the navy for U-Boat reconnaissance missions, so I doubt he'd authorise Luftwaffe FACs to the army.
Thanks Monica........ I have some wiring to go into the back of the radio gear which will be mostly hidden by the rack. But, it should just be visible from above....... As you said, being German with everything In "pending"the only wires hour front will be for headsets and maybe a "Morse Key"\ said:did find a few pics for you Peter,
real knowing the German would of keep thing quite neat and tidy,so most of the wiring
would of been out of harms way,and behind the boxs, with only the radio wires to the hand
sets being seen,or maybe a main power cable hear and here![]()
I'm kind of "winging-it" on the wiring Robert........ I figure each one needs power in, antenna feed, com's in/out and maybe a couple are linked. So that is my basic plan........ Then there is power in, through the fuse boxes and junction boxes.\ said:an excellant progress here coming along Peter ( we know your a stickler for detail and it shows in your builds.
With the radio sets wiring etc do you have a plan to work from ( IE pics of the real radio sets/ fuses etc ) or are you going with destructions.
Great work and progress so far
Liking this a lot
Robert
Thanks John......... much appreciated\ said:Classic kit and your off to a great start with your build look forward to seeing more
Oh Gawd!!!!........ That's going to be a very slim notebook Graham........ There'll be bugger all much to learn from this build\ said:I think the 251 is one of the great iconic vehicles of the German army. Quite a versatile and forward thinking design. Although I have built very few of them, and I don't think any in 1/35, it is something I am addressing.
Just today I have received from Blast Models in France, the upgrade set for the AFV Club 251/20 UHU (Owl) which has the infrared search light on the back. Some where I have an old Tamiya 251/1 and a Zvezda kit as well. So I will be taking notes Peter![]()
