Scottie,
Thanks mate I'm on leave this week so once the kids go to bed I am able to finally do some.

John,
Always good to hear from you sir, yeah had a few changes in the weather to contend with.
Thanks for the comments they are always welcome.

Marty

Hi Marty I have just caught up with your build thread. Really nice modelling. I like how you have caught the smaller details such as straps, bolt cutters and the fire extinguishers. Really nice :thumb2:

Thanks for your comments. I must admit I am probably going a bit far with this one as because alot of the work won't be seen once I put the cab roof on but at least I know it is there.

Marty

Even though you can’t see them, I think those are the details that’s also important Marty.

when putting a sling on a rifle do people put the sling loops on the weapon or just glue the sling straight onto the weapon.
Simple: if you feel up to making the swivels (and think they’ll be visible), put them on, else just glue the sling straight to the weapon :)

Jakko,

Thanks it's the first time doing a sling so it's better to get an idea of how it's done.

Very nice. Shame about those ejector pin marks in the 5th photo, but I guess they don't show so much in real life?

Hi Marty

Great to see you back at the bench. Wonderful progress shots. Hopefully you won't get posted too soon to you can have time with the family

Thread owner
Hi all,

Hopefully the ejector pin Marks won't be too noticeable when it's all closed up.
Thank you for the comments, I will be starting the trailer sooner as I forgot the transfers for the fire extinguishers at the new house like an idiot so those will have to wait until I go home. Hope fully I will do some more tonite and I will post some more pictures soon.

Marty

Marty,
great work on the cab mate. Hope the posting is sending you somewhere nice there aren't many places left now.

Hi Marty,
Cracking build so far. Love the internal additions.....''perks'' of the crew.....
I built this a couple of years ago and did a blog on our old site MM.......
Sadly never got round to painting it.

Cheers Mike

Ian,

Sorry for the late reply I did look at your link and I really like your build, I was wondering what base you are going to put on it.

John,

Thanks mate yeah it's taken me some time but as soon as the trailer is finished which should be tonight I will finish the the tractor unit and then everything should be ready for painting. By the way I am gonna try the painting it the way you said in your blog as i am struggling with the vallejo paint as it seems to dry on my airbrush which makes things very difficult.

Marty

... And a 'erry Christmas from me too Marty.

Great to see you back at the bench. Trailer is coming along well

Steve,

Thanks mate I was hoping to have this done but I had to go on a 5 week course so I'm catching up a bit it just doesn't help that the only time I can do anything is at night because of the kids.
