I'm just posting this as I know people will keep an eye out, as it says in the post a member of our club had 25 years worth of models ( most scratch built ) stolen whilst away in Telford over the weekend. All Graham has now are the few he took to display at the show.

Please take 2 minutes to have a look at the post on our page and if you see any of these wonderful models please let the site know.

Many thanks

Adrian

Callous shits! Hope he gets them returned in one piece and the scum that stole them burn in hell!

That's so bad in every way.

Even if caught they will only get a slap on the wrist and told to pick up some litter.

They should lose a finger for every item they stole, brutal?yes, but it is the only way to treat such scum.

Can't believe they would steal his collection I mean there is no money In built kits..such a shame all his life work stollen by idiots..hope he finds them all

That is absloutely dispicable sorry to hear that will keep an eye open on ebay etc as I'm on it most days people like that need attaching to a 120mm and the trigger pulled

Sad very sad in so many ways. Very sad people who can do this.

I just think how I would feel. Once had our car broken into nothing to steal but

wow it got to me for days after how some one could violate my territory let

alone nick things.

Do hope your poor friend gets them back Adrian.

Laurie

Not good! I do wonder why though. What are they going to do with them? Please pass on my commiserations to your friend Ade.

PS I'm not on Facebook so I can't access the pictures so I don't know what to look out for.

Lowlife scum but sadly this is becoming a regular occurrence thieves n liars should be stoned publicly.

Makes me sick to the stomach as I've had many things stolen in the past including my transit van which was packed full of tools never to be seen again.

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled and let's hope Graham gets them back.

I'm a great believer in Karma and I hope it catches up with these thieving little #%+?} soon!

Why would anybody want to do this. The value is to the builder and surely has little value to anybody else. What has gone are hours of work and care in making a model and that is where the value is and not to some low life who would do such a thing.

I hope they may be returned.

I own two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and hopefully they will continue to guard my models.

Lowlife scumbags, I hope their earholes turn into arseholes and sh-+ on their shoulders, people like that should be shot.

The awful thing is, was it someone who knew he was away ?

just so sad and wont say what I would like too,

I have a friend who paints miniatures,he will show them and ,then there put away in boxs, within boxs,

and he dose not have a phone,or internet, and gets someone else to buy, them for him,and maybe

thats why he is like it,not to have his that type of thing happen, ;)

A few of us are thinking it must be someone that knew he was away and wanted his work, mainly as if it was just a robbery I think they would have passed them by or even smashed them not taken them.

Adrian

Does sound like that Adrian, now i reading more about it.

Seems to me that anyone who broke in would try and lift stuff that was easily saleable, and common, IE jewelery, electronics, etc.

Anyone breaking in and purposefully targeting this mans model collection mist have known he was away, and either had alterior motives behind the theft or desperately needed some high quality models for some strange reason, the latter i can hardly believe.

Theft of any kind in my opinion is a cowardly and low form of crime, and doesnt carry enough penalty. Folk get put in prison for not paying council tax, and scummy degenerates like this get a telling off, a £40 fine, and ten hours of community service if theyre caught. And if the wa@@ers have damaged his models, the dumbasses in magistrates will think its only worth a tenner!

As i said before, i desperately hope he gets these returned safely.

The fact that it was the shed that was broken into suggests it was a targeted theft.

I would guess the perpetrator has already lined up buyers for the models - probably by using pictures from Facebook & pretending that they're his own work.

But I do think some of the proposed punishments are rather extreme! Cutting fingers off & shooting...

Really??

As awful as this crime is, let's not overreact.

Why would anybody take or buy a model made by somebody else to pass as their own. The point of the model is surely that the person who has takes pride in making it .

For the acquisition of money?

There are people out there that are willing to purchase well made scale models, although from what ive seen, we arent talking thousands of pounds.

I still dont think these were taken for sale alone, i think theres another motive behind this.
