This is an Esci kit the quality wasn't good. This didn't really bother me to much as I only intended the build to be a quick one.

There was a lot of filler needed to get some of the underside bits to meet.

The blue on the kit is what the read out said to use although it looks really bright in the sun light when the plane is sat among the other builds it doesn't actually stand out so much.

That turned out well Terry. The paint job looks very good in the photos, I recall you had some issues with matching the colours but I think you have got it looking just right.

Mike I tend to do a couple of kits at a time and don't always do build threads for them. so some of these have been done below the radar as it were.

I really like the colour scheme, & it's a really nice build. Isn't the Kfir the Israeli copy of the Mirage? They reason I ask is that I'm surprised to see US markings on it - perhaps ESCI made a boo boo?

I believe on the first count you are right Patrick. As for the other Esci have in fact got it right. These Kfir's were leased to the usaf by the Isreali's in 1986. VF-43 used them and designated them as F-21A Lion Cub. They leased them for about a year before returning them to the Isreali's
