discussion F4G Wild Weasel 1/48 Desert Storm

Hi guys

I've been away from modeling aircraft for about 15 years now, just building 1/12 motorcycles. But looking at some of the fabulous aircraft builds on here, well it's re kindled my love of them. Right first off I have a stack of 1/48 Hasagawa Phantoms in the loft gathering dust crying out to be built and I've set my sights on doing an F4G wild weasel from Operation Desert Storm first Iraq war. I know f4's from the 37th TFW from George AFB were operationing there What I'd like to know is, are there any aftermarket decals for these units also detail up parts, eg canopy details , seats etc new to the market that anyone can recommened. I used to use aftermarket parts ,white metal, microscale/extradecal in the past but whats new around? Any info would be greatly recieved. I'm sure there will be many lovers of the spook on here

I would try going HERE and fill out all the relevant boxes in the search area. It can be a bit tricky at first but after a few tries you will figure out the logic in the system.

I know they do some decals for the 3rd TFW.

There is also a plethora of after market bits for Phantoms.

Thanks for the advice Ian. I did try the Hannants web site but always drew a blank.....as you say it is a bit tricky ,or maybe its me ha ha.but I'll percevere.
