OK, I have had three models on the go for a while. Two in primer and one ready for primer having finished off the main brass work. They are:-

Not a lot but around £80+ Fate has decided that they were not good enough and employed my two Labradors to show me the way. The way being, "don't bother to start as you will never finish"

So this is how I found my three masterpieces in the making when I got home this afternoon.

Completely un recoverable and now sitting in the bin. Is it really worth starting another? I think not.

WOW what a nightmare graham. PLEASE dont bin them , they were looking so good , im sure you would be able to rescue them , i was particularly looking forward to seeing the waffentrager , oh and dont be too harsh on the dogs - theyre labradors , thats their job ( chewing , destroying ) !!! cheers tony

No rescue Tony, they have teeth marks through them, the brass gun shield is completely destroyed as is the hull top, in five pieces, and the brass fenders are mangled. The two guns have faired no better with the limber for the 25lbr trashed with that and the guns themselves punctured through with teeth marks. Completely trashed I am afraid. Noo, I will not be hard on the dogs, they have no concept of what they have done although both are keeping well away from me at the moment so they have got the idea I am not happy about it.....

Looking at the picture above, they don't look too damaged but I am not fishing them out the dusbin for close ups lol.

What a crying shame graham , i only hope this doesnt dampen your enthusiasm for building , I really enjoyed seeing the waffentragers build thread , if its any consolation im sure it would have turned out stunning, cheers tony

oh my god i feel for you buddy no words can help but i will go with SORRY...my dogs have got hold of certain things but never touched my model stuff yet!!!! look forward to seein new stuff when your ready

Gutted for you Graham.

Maybe the best thing to do is shut the door or put them away. Are they pups? its a small excuse if they are, but any way. If they are grown up...

Just remember to put the next one out of reach.

Such a d**n shame Graham! No consolation I know, but you have the skills to do them again.

Good grief Graham, what a shame. The work you had put in was great, but dogs don't know and probably thought they were helping.

I'll look forward to you next build mate.

Tony.

well it's a bit of a shame money and time wise.

if you'll accept my somewhat straightforward point of view ...if this is the worse thing that's happened today they its not that bad if you reflect on it.

what I would do is keep an eye on the dogs (especially when they go to the toilet) little bits of brass and plastic can pose problems in the digestive system.

I did think of that Colin. Obviously I cannot be sure but I think it is mainly just chewing and ripping of the boxes, I doubt they will have eaten much but you are right, I will monitor them closely for a few days. Thanks for raising it :-)

That`s really bad news Graham, you must be gutted...I hope you have told them that Christmas dinner is a no no now:preparingfood:

That's tough Graham. I was quietly watching progress and now this happens.

What's done is done, so forget it and move on, 'tis the only way......Bloody annoying non the less!
