Another shout for 'Ice Cold in Alex'.
'The Cruel Sea' and Das Boot' would be my nautical choices.
'Battle of Britain' and 'The Dambusters' would be my aviation choices.
On land probably 'Saving Private Ryan', though I got bored sh*tless last time I watched it the first twenty minutes made it worthwhile. 'Apocalypse Now' though that's more of a horror film than a war film, and finally 'Slaughter House 5' because I loved the book so much.
Cheers
Steve
