Silly question - BUT?
Are there any of the female gender dabble in the noble art of our hobby??

I think there are a couple on the forum but they rarely post. It's a shame but even in these enlightened days model making is a male interest.

WELL Moniker did an so did sooty sue so thats two an there is a Hanna jioned but not heard anything more fom her

Lady modeller’s-very rare. Maybe models just appeal to the male brain more in most cases.
What hobby do the ladies do, which has little interest for men ?

My wife enjoys all things knitting and sewing. She is on a couple of forums. She says that 99% of people on those forums are ladies.

HI Paul why dont you send her a p/m as i have done in the past very nice lady to talk to an please tell her boatman (chrisb an jen )send their best wishes to her

And the point of that would be?

She hasnt been onsite since the start of june so she isnt going to read a message unless she does pop on

Ive known monica since 2013 as we both joined here close together.......i know why she dosnt post much any more and thats her business

Interesting thread this. Not many female modellers on here, or in historical modelling at all as far as I can tell. I don’t remember many female railway modellers when I was into that either. On the other hand, there are a fair few figure painters that are female, mostly, but not exclusively, working in the fantasy field. Some are the best in the business imho, producing things like perfect freehand painted paisley shirts. Also the fantasy gaming world is pretty close to fifty fifty In gender spread. Board gamers have a very even spread as well. Not many female historical gamers around though.

My wife is into aviation stuff and has bought a 1:144 sale tornado to have a go with, so hopefully!

The wife sews, has her own little business, she sales on Etsy and eBay, she has threatened to build one of my models... yeah right! Like she'd let me loose on her sewing machine! Haha

I might take up knitting.
Your average knitting pattern makes Dragon instructions look clear and straightforward :smiling3: Her almost £1000 sewing machine has more buttons and switches than Concord:flushed:
Stick to butchering plastic.
