Right, I love perfect plastic filler, I can apply it with a brush and it doesn't need sanding, if I stroke it with a moistened brush. But, and its a pretty big but, it comes in a ridiculous tube, always clogs in the tube, and i have to dig out the nozzle every time, and I reckon I'm wasting a lot. So, here's the question, does anybody know of a water based, super-fine filler that comes in a tub? There's a crisp fiver etc etc...

I also use this filler and highly rate it. I dont use the small tube that is supplied with it but simply apply from the tube onto a craft sculpting tool (some times called wax carvers). I always wipe clean with a damp paper towel or kitchen washing up sponge the end of the tube before re fitting the cap. To date ive never had a problem with the filler going hard at the end of the tube.

Hope this is of help to you.

I haven't used it myself, but could you not decant it into a tub? Best of both worlds that way ;)

I don't use the nozzle either, and I do keep the end clean, but it's a grip I have with plastic toothpaste tubes too, and I wish to god that they'd go back to the old style ones for specialist stuff like filler...Im going with Patrick's idea!
