I thought I would go to Duxford tomorrow.Weather looks like it's going to be better than the Sunday. Hannants have a stall there so I will have to take some extra money!.Anyone else going ?.

I'm hoping to get there on Sunday. Saturday looks to have the better weather forecast but Sunday isn't desperate :)

Looked at the forecast yesterday and Sunday was meant to be a lot worse than Saturday.Just checked again and now both days are supposed to be about the same!.Ive checked the flying program and it will be a really good day if everything turns up.The Breitling Super Constellation is meant to put in an appearance both days.Ive only seen one of those once before.Thats when I had a look round Kermit Weekes collection in Florida some years ago.

The suns just come out.Looks like I picked the right day for a change.Several model kit dealers here.Just bought the new Trumpeter Westland Whirlwind for £27.99. Hannants are here but not offering any discounts of course.Thetve got a 1/48 Mpm Airspeed Oxford that I might get though.

A few photos from today at Duxford. Fantastic day.Eleven spitfires flying in formation!.Dont think Ive ever seen more than two together before. The Constellation was good and there were aircraft flying that I didn't know existed on the airshow circuit.Namely a Boeing P26 Peashooter and Curtis Mohawk. Not many photos I'm afraid.Hopefully Steve will get more tomorrow.

You had a good day dave :) I don't know about anything else but that comet in the back is a beauty

Just got back from the Sunday show. Weather was a bit iffy when we arrived but had cheered up considerably for the flying. We only had one brief and light shower all afternoon and I even managed to 'catch the sun' as my mum used to say.

I'll post some piccies in a new thread when I get a chance, but I am very busy next week :)

The flying was excellent. We get blasé about seeing Spitfires and Hurricanes here but to see four great US naval fighters was a high light for me, along with the Sea Fury and no less than four Mk 1 Spitfires in the air together. We won't see that again any time soon. There were various US fighters (P-40, P-51 and the Curtiss Hawk which I've not seen before) and others of all types too numerous to mention. The Constellation was impressive.

I'm not one of those blokes with cameras that look more like telescopes so aerial photography is pretty much beyond me, I did get this of the four Spitfire Mk 1s roaring overhead.

The better ones were taken of aircraft on the ground moving slowly or not at all :)

Cheers

Steve
