This will be my new project but not sure whether to finish like the box art and maybe add a bit of dirt or to create a barn find look.View attachment 297050
Thank you Ian for your feedback I appreciate it and I have taken it on boardI like the idea of a barn find build Stuart, holes and rust every where, but either way I'll watch.
Thanks for joining DaveI have that same kit. Watching with interest!
:tongue-out: Know what you mean Colin, glad you are along for the buildMy first Escort had the same markings as this, back when I was a lad - when road tax and insurance were just a small inconvenience, and not the robbery they are these days ! Actually, I'm 50 now, insurance isn't too bad.
Thanks Dave glad you like itLooks great so far! I love the idea of a barn find.
Thanks Joe glad you like itLooking forward to this one Stuart. Nice engine.
Thanks Ian that’s just given me a bit of thought.,appreciate your feedbackNice start Stuart, I can just imagine a door mouse's nest stuck behind exhaust pipes.
Cheers for feedback pete, pointers taken on board although it’s not finished yet still a lot to do.Needs more rust under the bonnet, particularly around the suspension struts!

Aluminium or fibre glass (could have been polypropylene) but either way, no rust. Also available in two sizes, 'Tarmac' and 'Forest'Would the wheel arch extensions be made of metal back then, or fiberglass?
