Build thread here: https://www.scalemodelling.co.uk/threads/1-72-fujimi-junkers-ju87r-2-trop-stuka.1276838/

My last Fujimi Stuka, this one representing a Ju87B-2 Trop coded S1+HK, flying with 2.StG.3 out of Derna in Libya, late 1941.

All OOB except for the seat harnesses (which can't really be seen). The tropical filter came from the spares box from an Italeri kit. The main paint work used Humbrol enamels; some Ammo acrylics were used for tiny details. The decals are a mixture of the Fujimi markings and Italeri codes. I used ground up chalk to create a slightly dusty look over the airframe, especially the markings, the underside grime, and the dirt/dust in the wheel treads.

I enjoyed the build, it's my second Fujimi Stuka. I have an Airfix B-1 and a B-2 left to build, but it will be a while before I revisit Stuka land. Enjoy the pictures.

Excellent work joe , I think the rlm79 / rlm65 scheme always looks well and its a change to see a Stuka in something other than rlm 70/71 . Another cold sweat canopy mask though ! Great job , cheers tony

A really nice result Joe. Really good work on the paint and decals. Looks great with the rest of the collection.
Cheers Steve. I need some Allied desert fighters to keep this lot at bay.

That's a great result. Masking the canopy must have been a fun job.
Cheers Jim. Masking is not the most enjoyable part of the build, that is for sure.

Well done Joe, looks awesome (y) a real bird of terror
Cheers Steven. Yes, it looks menacing even when parked

Cheers Chris. It is vulture-like  Thanks. The remaining two are 1/72 scale as well, but won't be doing them for a while as I have built three Stukas over the past year. The canopy masking is a real mission on these.

Cracking result Joe, very nice 👌

Interesting to see it lined up with the others, it’s much bigger bird than I thought 😮

Geoff.
Cheers Geoff. Yes, it's huge.

Great job Joe.
Pete
Cheers Pete, glad you like it.

Joe, well done mate that is a great result.
Cheers Paul, I like it too, but the dusting and fading I did is pretty much obliterated by the photos. Maybe I should have used more contrast, maybe a brown rather than a buff sandy shade.

Cheers Tony. Yeah, you're not wrong about the canopy work. I like the desert schemes too.

Nice, especially the low key underside weathering
Cheers Chris. The upper weathering doesn't show in the photos very well, if at all in some shots. I might try a lighter or darker powder next time.
