I've added categories to the gallery, now called Media, Ian was going to do it but I couldn't workout how to give him access so if you need any more added let me know.


Also we should now have no threads with missing pictures, usually when they are missing it's because someone has used something like Photobucket and then the pictures eventually get deleted, now when you place an external image link it the forum will automatically convert it to an attachment, so nothing for you to do

Now this is maybe the stupidest question ever asked on here but how do I set up a gallery?

Click on media (next to forum) at the top left mate, brings down lists etc.

Sounds good John, particularly the picture links, that should make life easier for a lot of members.

Hi Alan click on media at top of page takes you to the second screen. Next click add media choose album gives you the option then to create try that see how you get on View attachment 100175

Thanks John ive got it sorted now , I got stuck on the album and creat gallery, I couldn't get the upload section to pop up so cheers

Have the old gallery pictures all gone John? Ive just searched for my pics and theres no media found. There also used to be a link to someones gallery on the profile section under the name and avatar , is it possible to have this again? Thanks for all your hard work , I imagine setting something like this up is far from easy , cheers tony

Hi John, I am sure this is really a stupid question but I have to ask. What is the reason for having a gallery? I know members can post a pic, or a collection of pics, for others to see their models. Is it so we can have our own "photo album" as it were to showcase all our pics in one place, or is there another reason that escapes me for the moment?

Don't know I will look in to it

We used to put our images into albums, which was separate from the main gallery. I had many albums for each build I did, they have all disappeared into the mist too.

I've just found out that if you have something in your own album it's easy to insert, just click the camera icon and it will drop down showing what you have, just click on the picture(s) to add them to your post

All the old pictures from the gallery are now imported to the new one, I've made the directory with them in view only and it's called archived pictures, all new pictures can be uploaded to the new categories
