Hello,

Here’s my completed entry to this cracking GB. Thank you Neil for proposing and hosting it I really enjoyed it 😊

It was my first ever MiG and Trumpeter build.
I was quite impressed with the kit, it went together well and was nicely detailed. The only down side were the decals which were a little bit translucent 😕

It was jazzed up a bit with an Eduard PE set and I replaced the solid gun barrels with cut lengths of a hypodermic syringe.

Build thread here: https://www.scalemodelling.co.uk/threads/geoffs-trumpeter-1-48-mig-3.1277469/

Anyway enough waffle here are the pictures.

Thanks for looking 👍

A lovely result Geoff. The shape of the MiG-3 suits that scheme with the yellow nose. Like you, I experienced my first Trumpeter kit during this GB, and was pleasantly surprised.

Very very nice turnout
I especially like the minimal weathering, with the little exhaust streak down the side

Thanks Joe 👍

From reviews I’ve seen Trumpeter are generally well detailed and go together ok but can be a bit inaccurate. I don’t know how accurate this MiG is but it looks good and I enjoyed building it so I suppose that’s all that matters really 🙂
