Well it’s taken over 12 months but I’ve finally gotten it finished 😊

I picked it up for around a tenner when I popped into my local Hobbycraft as I quite liked the colour scheme.

Its a nice little kit and I enjoyed the build but if I build another one I would definitely get after market transfers as the kit ones are not good.

Anyyway, here are the pictures 😊

Thanks for looking 👍

Interesting camo.....was this for european or pacific theatres

German kills, so Europe. Unusual camo. Well done though.

Cheers chaps 😊

It was a European scheme the aircraft where originally delivered to the 56th fighter group in natural metal as were most USAAF aircraft towards the end of WW2.

The three squadrons in the group the 61st, 62nd and 63rd were not happy with this finish so it was decided to paint them in service.

Each squadron had a different finish although the underside on all remained NMF.

Mine is from the 56 F.S. Who went for a blue scheme.

Cheers,

Geoff.

An excellent finish. And a colourful one as well. I'm certainly tempted to get one now I've seen yours.

Cheers Colin 😊.

For the price you can’t go wrong, one of Revells better efforts.
The decals were the only thing that let it down.
