With my GB Spitfire approaching the finish line I decided it was time to start a new build.

This was a Christmas gift from my son and I’ve been looking forward to cracking on with it since then.

It has a choice of x3 schemes, I’m tempted by the Malta based desert scheme aircraft but may change my mind as the build progresses.

I’ve also got some Eduard PE to jazz it up a bit.

Hopefully I’ll be able to post an update soon.

Thanks for looking,

Geoff.

Well I’ve been making slow progress for one reason or another but have finally got it moving.

Cockpit is completed with added PE parts.

Once this was finally done it was time to sandwich it between the two fuselage halves.
The fit is everything you would expect from Tamiya. Considering this kit was first tooled in 1997 it is still holding up very well.

Wings and horizontal stabilisers have also been added and it’s starting to like like a mighty Beau 😀.

A bit of cleaning up next then I’ll build up the other ancillary parts before getting it into the spay booth.

Thanks for looking 👍

That has gone together really well Geoff. Glad you didn't have any fit issues with the fuzz coming together. The office looks very good.

watching along now, popcorn to hand 🍿 Looking good.
Thanks Neil, glad to have you along 👍

Nice clean build progress, Geoff.
Cheers Joe 😀

Yes it is but I never had one yet always looking at other people’s kits hoping to get one some day.
On the basis of how it’s gone together so far I would heartily recommend getting one Lee 👍

Thanks Steve, yes it’s gone together easily so far 😊
