Steve,
When I asked that it was when we were waiting for something to happen !
Looks good , how much of a struggle has it been not to starting your normal detailing. ! :smiling2: bet your chomping on the bit to make some changes.
Luckily my version has no internals ! :smiling2:

I can’t imagine dr Jones not doing SOME type of enhancement to this kit...that would truly be madness

Steve...you must already be fidgeting on your seat...hand starting to tremble, nostrils aching for the smell of cynoacrylate and eyes darting across the table at the set of etch lying there...

Stay strong bro...stay strong...:tears-of-joy::smiling6: The internals are looking nice...just needs one or two bling to bring it up a notch or two :smirk::thinking::smiling6:

Cheers,
Richard

Steve,
Looking good for OOB, will hang around and observe a master at work.
But remember the dark side are watching for any slip in your strength and resolve, you of course will need a full re-education after this transgression.
Go on - stick those fingers together - we dare you....
Cheers,
Mike.

Hi Everyone

Sorry John. Must have been a senior moment. Hope your happy its finally off and running. Appreciate your company and encouragement:thumb2::thumb2:
Madness its going to be then Joe as no enhancements are going to be made. Although its very difficult not to:smiling5::smiling6:
Looks like most of the bling is up top but looking forward to the PE Richard
I am so tempted Mike. There are a few glaring mistakes already. However as its a competition piece I must obey the rules and do OOB only.

That is some very serious work and I applaud you. :thumb2::thumb2::thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:
Mike.

Steve,
Will follow this along. It looks like a nicely detailed little kit and you are off to a great start.

You're making plastic look like it was metal underneath...way to go Steve. :thumb2:

Cheers,
Richard

Blimey that was quick!
Great to see some painting already, nothing quite like a quick OOB build to raise the old moggeling mojo:smiling4:

Hi Everyone

Cheers Rick:thumb2::thumb2:
High praise from a master like yourself Mike. Many thanks
It certainly is well detailed Scottie. Didn't realise it was going to be so small again. Maybe I should do 1:16 next time:smiling3:
If it looks like metal then my work is done Richard:smiling3:. Many thanks for the support
Your dead right Si. Really enjoying this one.
Many thanks Jim:thumb2:

Fantastic work Steve - really grungy looking. Interesting to see that you're doing an OOB too - makes me feel less guilty.

Hi Steve
Looks very realistic. Love the thoughtful way the effects are built up in layers

Hi Everyone

Its been a nice relief from the hard stuff Peter. Thanks for the compliments
Layering is an area of my system that I am looking to improve Jim. Glad you noticed it:thumb2:
Cheers Paul:thumb2::thumb2:

Well due to an unexpected day off due to the weather I was able to get some bench time in today. Not before I had gone out to Dartmoor and had a snowball fight with the Mrs's:smiling3: Kids at 50! Luv it:cool:
That’s just slightly more snow than we’ve been having around here :) (Everything sort of white in the morning, almost all gone by the afternoon.)

You also get a spare wheel as well which may come in handy later with the stowage.
Probably for the Ausf. B, with had five roadwheels and a raised idler — which seems to be the big wheel next to the drive sprocket in the sprue.

Hi Steve
Cracking progress and a snow day too.
Tristar/Hobbyboss are the only ones that use a chamfered ring to raise the rim on their road wheels.
MiniArt don't bother
Dragon use a PE brass ring to raise the rim higher than the tyre.
The spare wheels might be part of the early/late choice?
Have you decided which one to do, yet?
The early version doesn't have the inner rim support with the single rivet as per your photo below
The larger idler wheels don't have the additional support at all and are completely different on the Pz I B version, not just raised off the ground.

Lovely work on the interior Steve

You mentioned that there were other issues?

Anything I could help with?

Have fun with the build and the snow

Regards

Interesting feedback Jakko and Steve. Much appreciated. I am going for the late version but interestingly the kit does not offer an option on the wheels but but they do on many other parts throughout the build. So I am lucky hat the wheels are the late version. No real issues at the moment, however I will be doing the engine soon and I have no idea about colours. I have searched for a revamped one on the internet but to no avail. If you have any ideas or opinions on the colours I am all ears. Many thanks in advance

Steve

Hi Steve

You could start here

Panzer internal colour schemes

Once its painted chipped and greased up, its not going to be exactly the same as it started.

Even walkarounds and museum exhibits have been repainted

This is an artistic license issue, eventually, but it can be fun researching!

I still am after 7 years!

Regards

Steve H
