I found that even after acquiring what I think is a fair set of tools and bobs and bobs. I can’t look at things and wondering, ‘can I use that for!’. Then there is this place! I read a build and think, 'what a good idea’ for example, i think it was Scottie, he used some sweet wrappers to simulate worn leather seats!! So - a trip to Sainsburys, returned with a packet of Reisen chocs. Ate the sweets kept the wrappers. SWMBO was throwing out our old scales, well tried too. I hung onto the weights - well you never know when you’ll need one!!!!
I’ve only been doing this for 18 months or so and I now have drawers full of ‘stuff’ I think may be useful. Sponge, wire, plastic tubing, clamps, clothes pegs, wedges of wood. Now I can’t throw anything away without having a good hard think about alternate uses!!!
I’m with you on this one Doug.
I was just about to go for a walk when I noticed next door had left some strips of scrap lead which was left over from some roofing work next to their recycling bin.
Ideal for nose weight to prevent tail sitting I thought so it was swiftly “recycled” into my scraps draw
Geoff.
