Had a good day out at cosford yesterday, despite the glum of the weather, some shots here https://www.flickr.com/photos/brodiephoto/sets/72157652262642054 loads more to sort, due to conditions over shot as shutter was low to try and get something sharp of the whirly things !!

ZE370!!! Now there's a blast from the past. I have spent many a sweaty hour in the cabin of that heap of junk doing group servicings or getting covered in oil from doing SOAP's & chips. It's encouraging to see that 22 Sqn are keeping her as clean as we did on D Flt.

Some great photos there Steve, looks like you had a great day out.

Replaced with? Is the RN version of this affected too?

I looked it up, SAR duties being taken over as you say Adrian, by Bristow. Some military crew will be on board. The Royal Navy SAR squadrons are being disbanded too. Such a long history coming to an end.

I have a recollection that the MOD were paid by another government department to provide SAR cover, that was certainly the case for the SAR Nimrod kept at readiness - at the request of the CAA I think.

All things come to an end and the Sea King was overdue for replacement, all the aircrews I knew wanted a better airframe.
