Must be such a relief to have your eyesight back, glad to hear it was quick and painless.

My Dad has had his done a few years ago, needs glasses to read but he used to wear them all the time before. He reckons it isn't a bad procedure to go through & certainly worth it. Glad to hear yours went well.

Hi Graeme. yes been told I will still need specs. Have stigma in each eye. But not worried. At the moment, something new, I can read what is scheduled on TV :rolling:

Good to gear all went well laurie , cheers tony

I had a detached retina four years ago. I had no idea and only found out during a routine eyesight test at the opticians. they Replaced my natural lens at the same time as they say the operation causes cataracts. That said I now how some cloudy vision in that eye so I may have to have a bit more laser to clear it.
anyway, glad to hear all went well.

Wow Carl should read up about the lazer. stuff. I read an article by the surgeon who carried ou my procedure.
There are a lot of problems occuring it appears well after the surgery.

I believe when they do the eye op they suck out alll the contamination of old cataract but some minute bits can still remain which can slowly grow back (layman’s terms).
Apparently this can be cleared with fairly simple lazer so I’m told.

Yes they had a few bits after removing most of mine as the surgeon kept me informed.

But using , his preferred method old method, 20 seconds later all clear he said..

We have 3 eye surgeon, 1 young & two middle aged, in Jersey & none of them use lazer techniques.
At least for cataracts.

Sounds like they loooked after you anyway. I forget your on the island. Lovely place Jersey, I went there a few years ago on holiday. Popping back to your neighbors next year to Guernsey for a Holiday. Quite like
All the ww2 bunkers and history there.

Yes & another eye next week Carl. Got pay for it. 24 month waiting list.

Guernsey is a lovely place. Different character to Jersey. Their only problem making up their mind about anything.
We were a boating family 7 Guernsey was always the first trip of the season.

Great news, Laurie. Must be lovely to get a big improvement in your eyesight, rather than the inevitable steady decline we all get most of the time.

Yes Paul it is incredible. Even with only one eye corrected so far. Thanks for your thoughts.

Very nice of your Chris & Jen. Been creeping along with magnifiers. Does not help the spirits.
Pretty little Dove got it's wings on today. No magnifiers. Yippie the sun is shining (with thunderstorms between).
