Graeme's Tamiya Stug III Ausf G

Thread owner
Thanks Steve, the topcoat is done using Tamiya dark yellow & deck tan 50/50 airbrushed.
Now comes the job of painting the wheels & tools.

Thanks Paul & Steven, the Tamiya dark yellow seems too dark to me, so lightening it with deck tan makes it look better to me.

Gotta agree with the guys here...... that paint has gone very well indeed Graeme, looks very smooth:cool:,
Good stuff on a great build.... nice one:thumb2:!
Cheers,
Andy

A bit more progress, all the wheels are painted up, the tools, spare tracks are all done & added to the hull. There are a couple of tow ropes, made using spare lengths of copper tow cable & the kit loop ends, one has been added to the clips on the track guard, will decide where the other is going later. The only decal is a balkenkreuz, as markings look a bit scarce on most stugs of this type.

I've just done the gloss varnish coat this evening after these photos were taken, so the weathering starts tomorrow.

A slight issue, three of the etch schurtzen leant on each other & stuck, cue a spot of touching up the paint!:rolling:

Thanks John, the schurtzen have had the paint sorted, now it's back to the weathering.

A start has been made on the weathering using pigments, Mig Europe dust, still a bit wet in places in the picture, more to do.

Graeme, Bob's missing this ! Love this part, don't you, find it so enjoyable .

Thread owner
John, it is rather enjoyable, in fact so much so, I've done a bit more using mig light dust, building up the weathering in layers. Some extra bits to go on the engine deck are in the tray.
