I really love wet Sundays. Today I fully intend to sit at my (shared) desk all day working on my latest build, stopping only to eat and drink. Happy.................

Not wet Wednesdays though!

I watched a whole 15 overs of international cricket at Edgbaston before the heavens opened and I'll only get half my money back. Luckily I don't live very far away and was home in fifteen minutes.

Cheers

Steve

Well that was luck Steve even just 15 overs. In Jersey we get an occasional visit by a County side but Jersey are usually thrashed.

When I lived in England as a young man I used to frequent during every school holiday the Oval. Bedser twins Surridge, Laker Lock Loader Barrington MacKintyre Stuart & the great PBH May the most majestic cricketer I have ever seen. His cover drives were something to behold they travelled like a space ship silent & fast timing to perfection no flourish just feet body & eyes perfectly positioned. Those were some holidays. Had a test with Surrey but not good enough. Got to the last eight. Cry o yes I did. In private of course.

As a player I became a good amateur weather forecaster. Usually did it by the wind direction & the cloud formations.

Well gentlemen, this is why wet Sundays are great, you don't have to go anywhere. Although she did threaten me with a trip to B&Q - swerved that one.

Here in Sarf Essex its as clear and bright as a bell. Summer has returned

But then you would accept that after a wet weekend.
