Hi all I went to Hunstanton at the weekend at our friends caravan, whilst there I went into a cheap shop up there (can't remember the name of the shop but it's on the corner before the model shop) I bought a selection of paints, I tried some on some spare plastic and it seemed OK so I tried it on this kit, I'm amazed with the result, this paint is 1.50 a can, I've used no Polish and there is no undercoat (admittedly it's on white plastic so can't really say weather it's good coverage but this is only one coat) I think for 1.50 it's amazing (and there's very little smell.

I have a few tins of chepo, rattle cans as well from the $2.oo shop, and they work ok ,

that's a nice result, ken, well done and no runs lol, 9_9

That looks a bloody amazing finish ken , not a run in sight and super shiny. Ill have to keep those in mind if i see them anywhere. BTW the Karmann Ghia looks very tasty in the blue , are you going to keep it that colour?

Thanks Tony I think so but I'm not going to be starting this any time soon, it's already boxed up again, I'm hoping to pluck up courage and start some of my ships again, I think I have enough confidence now, it just depends on weather I ruin the 32 ford or the camaro. I only opened the box to test the paint, it was the karmann or a beetle and there were to many separate body panels in the beetle.

Nice selection of paints there Ken, I use poundshop specials and they do okay. I have to admit with Tony than blue looks gorgeous.
