Hi all,

Thought I'd join in for this one too; I picked up a Trumpeter Stug in 1/72. Not the most complex looking kit (I think 90% of it is wheels), but hopefully it'll go together nice enough, and will be a good excuse to get more practice on display bases!

Tracks are on, paint and decals done and a bit of weathering. Time to start on the base.

That's looking good, I can imagine Bob drooling at the mouth seeing this.

On second thoughts maybe not, not a sight to think about:smiling3:.

Oh yes, fetch a cloth Granvill (us oldies may remember that lol)

Very nice Greg, just got to love it sir :thumb2:

Thank you chaps! I've made a start on the base, I'll be giving water a go for the first time. Probably shouldn't have the vehicle in the water for a first time attempt, but ah well!

Oh don't you just love this, top marks on the setting.
Good luck with the water, what material are you using ?

Thanks John! I'll be using 'Realistic Water' from Woodland Scenics. There's a quite a few videos out there showing tips, so I'll be watching them first and hoping to to ruin the whole thing!

Well, the water sort of works. It's clear and looks wet, but some texture is needed! So I've ordered some water effects paint, to give it a bit of movement. To be continued...
