Finally got some OK photos.

Hasegawa Lancaster with resin bomb bay, wheel wells, flaps and tail.
Wouldn't do it again, I think the new Airfix kit has most of this as standard and would save a lot of time and hassle.

Base is a scratch build from scrap 2x2 and MDF With some tile grout for the top. Lighting just basic LEDs and a battery pack soldered together.

Not in my wheelhouse but an absolutely superb and very realistic pairing, now to find a display place.

Wow, a beautiful build mate, love the way the Lanc looks when lit up, :thumb2:

Love it!
I thought at first that the lighting was a bit modern, but then I realised it's 'Just Jane' in her two -sided markings. Lovely idea

Excellent finish and pairing, James. The plane complements the base and vice versa.
John.

Nice job James, well done. It's got me thinking, I haven't built a Lancaster in years.

That is very impressive James. Great build and the base really shows it off to great effect.

Great work James, and a fantastic job with the base. Sets it off very nicely indeed.

Excellent workmanship, and a great display base.

Far too many people getting into this light thingy....
