Hawker Hart 1/72 - Tintin decals

IIRC, Wargames Foundry figures aren’t on the big side? That’s why I pointed to them, anyway. Or am I confusing manufacturers here?

I think the early Perry sculpts are relatively small for 28s, but I have some from way back and they still dwarf Minifigs true 25s. Remember the Vercingetorix I did a while back, he was Foundry and was around thirty mil high…..

Hmm … scratch this idea, then :(

Maybe the solution is just to chop the tops of the heads off some plastic 1:72 scale figures, glue on a disc of thin plastic card that has been rolled a bit to make it curved, and then add the dome of the hat from either some plastic rod filed into shape, or a half-ball of epoxy putty.

I must admit I find it strange that there are so few bowler hatted figures in the OO model railway field. They were a very common part of the UK commuter “uniform“ through the forties to the seventies. I suppose the fact that they were mostly marketed as OO/HO is a factor. The bowler is not really a common continental hat style, and HO outline railways are pretty much universally continental. How a 4mm/foot figure is supposed to fit in to a 3.5mm/foot world is altogether another question :tongue-out3:
