Possibly one of the 'wingy things' modellers will know, my only suggestion would be to get a smaller scale one and 'scale up' - will it be a 'flier' or a static display?

8 foot wingspan - that's going to be quite a size! Even as a static display, going to need a large area!

You could also buy a 1:72 or 1:35 scale kit of one and scale it up?

Welcome Martin, have you tried the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop I'm sure they will have some sort of plans on a horse you could scaledown. I know there was a group that built a Horsa that went to a ditch museum.
