Hi everyone

In the past I've never really had much trouble in deciding what to build next. However, lately I'm finding it quite difficult to make a start on anything. My Spitfire marathon is complete now - all 5 are finished and simply need some figures (by-the-way I'll try and include the figure painting tutorial I kept promising).

So with these builds winding down thoughts are now alighting on what to build next. As I've said before I've never really had a problem in choosing my next subject but I seem to be lacking a little enthusiasm recently. I thought it was down to the amount of aircraft I've completed of late but I think it may be a bit more than that.

I've narrowed my choice down to 2 builds (both of which I think I will really enjoy) but honestly I can't decide between the 2. Please help me in my choice and hopefully I can get back in the groove.

Cheers

Paul I got a little fed up with winged aircraft. So I had a go and built a Merlin Helicopter.

Then I thought this belongs to the Airfix 1/48 range of the Herrick Afghansitan models.

They include Soft armour Cayote, Jackal , Warrior, Quad bikes, Landrover MK1, Snatch Landrover and Lynx plus a platoon of infantry.

To that I have added to this stash other military hardware used. An Hasawega

Apache and Harrier.

I have made a shelf into a scene for the whole lot.

Just an idea a goal I suppose to aim for. Really enjoying it especially as it is so varied.

Helicopter then soft top Harrier etc.

The 2 He 111s drop into a themed build as they are part of the Battle of Britain collection I'm doing. But of course that would be 2 more aircraft (although not fighters).

Your Afghan builds really do make varied subjects they must look great together.

The other day I was looking at the P.IV...

The shopman leave it on my hands. I had a strange sentiment then, and decided to NOT buy it... :)

Looks a nice kit, but it has more than 2000 pieces. That means an amount of work and be sure about what are you doing!!!

Just think if you are ready for this challenge ;)

My vote is for any of the two kits :D

Forget the wings for a while and buy some new stuff!! A Takom or a MENG kits :)

The 111 gets my vote as at 1/32 scale will be very impressive and I just love monogram kits and have been seriously considering getting one myself. The panzer at this moment in time with your mojo slightly on the ebb might just be a bridge to far.cheers John

Well, it looks like the Panzer IV has the ayes so far.

I think I'll call time on this poll at 12 tonight, then (whatever the decision) I'll dig out the kit(s) for a look-see tomorrow.

Ooo! it's just like election day with the opposition Panzer party ahead in the polls with the incumbent aircraft alliance hoping for a late surge!

Cheers

Panzer gets my vote as i am looking at the hobbyboss 1/16 tiger tank in veiw to buying it

I would go for the PzIV, as something very different to the spits

The Panzer for me.

With you just finishing 5 Spitfires a change of theme should give you a fresh out look on building kits.

Well the result is in and it's a landslide vote for the PzkfwIV.

So the next build will be a 12SS panzer IV in Normandy.

Cheers

I'm wishing to see you building the P IV ;)

Anyway there is a thing that worries me...all the tank is really detailed, specially the interior, but seems it's difficult to show it!!! I'm waiting for your thread and see what happens!

The build is definitely going to be the Pz IV, and it may be started as soon as next weekend. The full interior is a big part of this kit and I will be giving all of it the attention it deserves, but when it's finished I'll be happy with what's viewed through the hatches. I won't be building a cut-away PzIV or anything like that as I want to use the tank in a larger scene (in 1/16 this is really big).

I know that you like your large scale armour and Polux and I know Patrick has just bought the Trumpy T34/85 so there could be something of a SIG build possibility?

Anyway, I hop you like the build

Cheers

For an "onpronto" SIG or GB we need 4 takers (is the golden rule)

You can suggest it on the GB chat. Maybe you are lucky....Peter was looking for the Tiger 1/16 (HobbyBoss)

Certainly is always more fun build something together :)

I will be waiting for your notice...
