What's in a name? I would think that Greek mythology isn't high on Chinese schools curriculums! They spell Agamemnon wrong in most places! It can matter, some retailers stock it under the correct name, others don't!

HMS Agamemnon was with her sister ship Lord Nelson, the last of the pre-dreadnoughts built for the Royal Navy, They were both completed after HMS Dreadnought - this was due to the 12" turrets for them being diverted to the Dreadnought, so they were obsolete before commissioning. They were expensive ships ( more than the Dreadnought ), with their mixed armament, and needed larger crews. They weren't considered fit to join the Grand Fleet & found useful employment at the Gallipoli peninsula. The Agamemnon was converted to a target ship in 1923, but was scrapped in 1927.

Box is pretty full - HobbyBoss wrap the delicate sprues in foam sheet - it prevents any damage on long delivery trips!

The parts are all very clean and crisp One thing that IS missing is any form of stand! There's a nameplate, but nothing to put it on! The method of assembly, with bulkheads plugged into the hull will create problems if you want to waterline the model ( which I will do ). One thing that is apparant is the large number of boats carried by these ships - at least 16! There is sufficient PE railing for the complete ship, that and the hollowed out gun barrels means very little need for after market, other than a wood veneer deck.
Not recommended for beginners, due to the large number of small parts, and the extensive PE parts ( which don't have any plastic alternatives )
Availability? Not Common - Ebay & Second hand sites are your best bet - you can get them from China, but they are not cheap around £55-60, and more...........
Dave

I know that some people don't like the veneer decks, but for such a large area, I think it's a good idea! - So I have one:
