That's all folks and you really do not have to thank me for them as I am more than happy to do it for the fine folks on this forum. If just one of the pictures sparks a dead Mojo, gives an idea for a new project, makes you want to place an order with John or go up in the loft and grab a kit to build, then it is more than worth it. We have a great hobby and we are a small minority in that aspect. Then there are some poor folks that live 500 miles from the nearest show and when they shout, their echo comes back 2 days later........

I wish I could have posted them all in full size instead of thumbnails, but if I had done that, John and some of the mods would have flown over here and strung me up from a lamp post for killing the server for sure!!! Enjoy!!!

Prost
Allen

Thanks so much for taking the time to post the photos Allen. The quality of the work on show is mind-blowing, and there's so much of it. I do feel inspired, but also realise how far I've got to go myself.

Allen, What a fine show that must have been! The Figures were simply stunning and the variety of subjects was incredible!
I'm glad you posted them and hope you keep us poor isolated folks in mind at future shows. Hats off to You Sir!!

Peter,

First off, I must apologise to you whole heartedly for my lack of comments and participation in your truly fantastic work. I have followed every build you have done and stand in awe of your talents. I promised you, a long time ago that I would paint a figure and I never did. For that, I also must apologise.

The show in Holland is huge and they had over 1800 entries into the contest. Honestly Peter, I think you would have had a damn good chance of winning a gong with your talents. I know contests are not your thing, but your work is award winning!!!...

Rick my friend,

Does it really take 2 days for your echo to come back???. Seriously, I am more than happy to do it as I love our hobby and seeing other peoples work. Wait till July (I have to buy a new camera though, as the old Sony is running on it's last legs) as the World Model Expo is in Holland for the first time. One of the biggest shows with contests….

OMG!! What a show you lucky bugger. I have never seen such a large group of jaw dropping models all in one place. The level of work is outstanding. I certainly would not have wanted to be a judge. Its a near impossibility to pick out a winner. One model that did take my fancy was the group of infantry men "going over the top". Thank you soooooo much for sharing them with us.

Allen,
I know you are not looking for thanks for posting these pictures, but thank you any way my friend for taking the time and effort in doing so. There are some superb builds on show there.

Stevie and Paul,

You are most welcome and again I am most happy to do it. The show is huge, but the WME (World Model Expo) coming in July is bigger and held in the same place as this one. It is 3 days long and they are expecting around 2500 entries into the competition. I will be a very busy beaver with the camera once again. I also plan on entering a few things in the comp.

If there is any way that you could attend this show, do it. The downside is all the hotels around the area are booked out. I made my reservations for my hotel before I left after the show last October. Something to seriously think about...…..

Stevie, the judging takes place between 1500 on Saturday until 1000 on Sunday. There are quite a few of them and they have teams for each category. Still it must be hard…...……….

Thanks Allen. I noticed some V2 dios that must have caught your eye. The doughs going over the top would have gotten my vote! The compo & modeling was just over the top:smiling:. PaulE

Allen that was just incredible! as the guys have said all the models were great some for me though grabbed me more then others I really liked the planes an some of those phatoms brilliant but I think the two models that got me the most was in round 7 I thinks an that was the japenese battle ship cruisein along on a seascape with the tiny spotter seaplane flyin over her an the other was the uboat sittin atop of a wave but that's just my opinion an yes you proberly would have got strung up so I made the best of the small pics to see some of the pics is better than none at all SO MANY THANKS TO YOU FOR POSTING THEM FOR US youre a great friend
chris

Dude 1, spell bounding dioramas, for me so many but perhaps the sub on top of the wave.
Thank you for taking the time to take and post all those. As Steve has said what a high standard of work, I also noticed as Paul the V2 ones , you must have been dribbling by then :smiling3:

Allen, here is a pic. looking west from my front deck...not a lot of folks or city lights out there sir. It is at least 15 miles across Flathead lake from this vantage point. Really hard to live with:rolling: lol. Never tried the echo thing but it wouldn't surprise me if it took that long.

Wow indeed, absolutely stunning Rick. Your one lucky person .:thumb2:

Allen, I was already drooling by the fourth set of pictures when you were posting and nearly broke the request not to comment with a ...Oh My God!!! Really nice of you to snap these goodies...I know how easy it is to forget photographing while taking in each display. You're one lucky devil as many have said to be near these World Class events.

Haven't picked my favorite...let me pour into the pics again...slowly.:smiling2:

Cheers,
Richard

Like I said earlier, no need to thank me as I just hope they give some inspiration to ya!

I'm with the other guys there Rick. It looks like heaven on earth!!! Is that a Springer Spaniel you got there???

John and Paul, A couple of bigger pics for you,

DSC04715.JPG
This piece was named "Das Boot" after the film,

DSC04941 (2).JPG
This piece was very well done. Wish I had taken a few more pics of it,

DSC04576.JPG
This one was well done, but there are a few things that are incorrect for Op Backfire and not in the film either. The trailer towed behind the tank truck is a fire department pumper and the generator trailer was not on the launch pad site. It was near the Sd Kfz 7 launch halftrack a few hundred meters away...

DSC04575.JPG
The Krupp towing the launch platform (in 1945???) is totally wrong and never used. A tactical V2 unit's rockets were painted field green too. The dios were very nicely done though....

And one for Chris (Boatman) in a bigger size. Enjoy!!!

DSC04707 (2).JPG

Richard, take your time and enjoy my friend. You get to go to some top shows on your end too. In July, there is the World Model Expo 2020 at the same place in Holland. I do hope to get more pics as this show is bigger than the rest. I do need a new camera as I noticed my old Sony is not as good as it once was, hence some blurry photos (it's over 12 years old). Take care...

If any one else would like a picture in normal format, just holler and I will try to oblige or send it in a PM....

Prost
