Wow! Welcome to all you new guys, or girls.

Nice to see some new faces and hopefully we'll get to see a bit of something of what you get up to as regards your modelling.

Have a good look around our resources and enjoy your time here.

Searched Google for a 1/144th airliner forum as I was looking to make my airliners better and pick up tips etc and have a good chat with other airliner modellers.

For someone who lives mostly in chaos I'm surprised at how neat I can be with the airliners at times.

I got here from Google, I was searching for information on the Orion boat kit

I was searching for articles on removing paint and a thread was in the article i read to your site ,,,, glad i found it , thank you

Hi Melle and a warm welcome to the forum. Have a look around, join in when you feel like it and enjoy your time here.

Good old Google when I did a search for info on Tamiya paints. :grinball2:

Mornin' All

I'm just getting back into modeling after a break of about 25 years (man, that makes me seem old). I found this forum while browsing Google results of modeling-related queries.

how I found you

Hi there,

I found you while tramping through loads of sites kooking for specific model boat plans, I think it was my home page search engine that I used.

Looks a superb site.

How I found you

Like most people I found you through Google, searching for info on Tamiya Caterhams

Hello there John and other folks (ladies and gentlemen, buoys and girls, bald headed babies and convertibles),

Well, John. I Googled and this site was listed as having photos of the beast. I have a 'thing' about seaplanes and flying boats. Decided I ought to join as I have an interest in all kinds of scale models, although my own efforts have been rather modest in recent years... Currently pondering completing a 1/48th Catalina, which I started 10 years ago (strewth! how time flies), as I stumbled upon some neat Trans Australian Airways (TAA - the friendly way) transfers for an aircraft that operated between Australia and New Guinea in the 1950s and 60s. I have a few incomplete 1/35 artillery and half-track models waiting to be painted... just nice to have 3D representations of these things to cast the eye over... very interested in relationship between form and function. Additional prompt was looking through a recent copy of Model Engineer at a friend's place, which featured some incredibly complex working scale models of aero engines, including a 16 cylinder Bristol Hydra radial.

So there you have it. Excuse me... time to browse...

Hi Strangelove and a warm welcome to the forum. There are certainly more than a few members here who share similar types of interests to your own so I'm sure you will enjoy a chat every now and then.

Feel free to add your own thoughts as and when you fancy and, most of all, enjoy your time here.

Hello all... I found this site accidently, (or serendipitously) while looking for advice on working with brass sheet. The more I read (and missed out on photos) the more I became interested. I model n-scale trains and am currently drafting a plan to build a late 1800's snow plow. Realistically I do a lot more CAD work than actual building (I live in a small apartment) but it keeps me busy and interested... So, there you go. I look forward to more conversations and more research...

I found your site through a link in a topic on RCMF.

Regards,

Tentpeg. :regards:

How I found the forum

I was doing a little research on model jet engines when a Google search threw up the posting on this forum about the Frenchman flying on two model engines.

I had a look round the site, and since I used to be into scale model aircraft in my younger days I decided to join and see what the state of the hobby is now!
