Was on Google looking for info on M-55 Geophysica, Scale Models came up and had the most info I had found.

:terrific: I searched good old Google using 'card model forum'. This site was 2nd on the list. I've already downloaded the micromodel PDFs! Thanks

I was searching on Google for the terms "hawker typhoon model" and the hits returned included one to "Scale Models". The rest is history...

Why I'm Here

Hello.

The moderator asked me to post my reason for being here and how I found the site.

I have had a Hasagawa Sopwith Camel model for nearly 25 years. Never had a chance to build it. Now, I want to complete the kit but would like to add a significant level of realism such as a more detailed metal clerget engine, aluminum cowling, appropriate fuel tank detail and better cockpit details.

I found the site using Google.

Re: How did I get to this forum

Hello,

I was looking up 1/32 F 15 E pictures on google and to see the pics here, I had to join and I'm glad I did. Great place!!!:music_too

Hello

I was just looking around for some model info and Google brought me here, I regestered and have wandered around, looks good seen a few names I have seen on other sites.

I am a Chief engineer on a dredger but sort of new to modeling.

I own a Tito Neri tug and have worked on / built a coulple of others for my skipper!

R,

Google of course - was looking for tips or recommendations on matt varnish

Yahoo search for model kits, ( I was looking for an Shackleton AEW2, or a Mk3, which I could modify [to show my grandson the last A/C I worked on in the RAF]) Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Brian Edis

Needed info on scales and typed "scales". This site (among others) came up and pretty glad I signed up. Still need info on scales as spent so long looking through I forgot to ask question!! So I might as well ask here.

Here it is - I have been modeling (mainly boats) for the past 3 years and have only bought ones that I liked the look of and have never worried about the scale before. Now I want to do a diorama with one of them and have got stuck as to how I scale figures, houses etc, to suit. The boat in question is the Will Everard Thames barge (barque) boat at 1:67. The diorama will (I hope!!) consist of a harbour scene, a background of houses etc, a small track with train - working - and anything else I fancy to go in it. It is the scale of all the stuff that I want in it, and with which I have trouble getting the nearest scale to match. How do I get scale parts to suit 1:67? i,e. what size train/figures/houses would be the nearset scale to 1:67?

Hope this is clear. If not, let me know and I will attempt to make clearer.

Ron.
