Yep I am on thee too but don't use it much as it's the same old rubbish

I wouldn't go near the thing in a million years......Judging by what I pick up in conversations with friends, the amount of twaddle some people put on there beggars belief....."I had an extra round of toast this morning, with marmalade, how cool is that?!"

Some of them quite happily said they actually posted on F.B. a minute by minute account of the holiday they were on in Majorca....For all the world to see - and the robbers.

I suppose like all communication methods, F.B. has it's uses, but not to constantly type meaningless tosh as many seem to do....

It really should have been smothered at birth!

Wow, I feel better for that!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you Ron why anyone wants to put a blow by blow account of their life on show I have no idea. Especially those that do their laundry there are some things peoel just don't need to hear.

Completely agree Ron, don't have an account, don't want one. I believe in talking to people as and when I see them or calling them when I have something to say. Facebook, Twitter and any other form of Unsocial Media is a sad reflection of our broken society.

i created a group for our Wirral ipms club which gets used quite a lot now. there is a hell of a lot of modelling going on , on Facebook now, also lots of groups dedicated to buying and selling, probably cheaper than e-bay in most cases as they are modellers selling, not just someone trying to make wads of money, its not all about silly people who put their who put their lives up for the world to see, just delete them.. suppose its like Marmite, you either love it or hate it.

I only have people I know on there so the drivel is kept to a minimum and if I meet someone new and friend them on FB as soon as the post drivel I block them and tell them why lol even if I see them I tell them :D

personally don't use it, cant stand the bloody site lol, I did once but got fed up people contacting mine that didn't want to contact lol, but is getting annoying how many places only now advertise updates or products just on facebook....

Apart from family who are all just a stone throw away, you guys on here are the only folks I want to talk to - and I can do that perfectly like this!

I've had loads of people tell me I should get a life, but as most of them seem to spend 90% of their free time in meaningless chat on the social media sites, I think I've probably got a better one than them - so :P :p:p to the lot of 'em!

PS Isn't there some story about an infinite number of monkeys having to use an infinite number of typewriters to eventually end up with a meaningful piece of writing?

Guilty of having a fb account, I also like going on the various model groups pages, as well as the military group pages.

Also have picked up one or two models of fb as well as the odd swap/trade, various bargains to be had on there ;)but I do like some of the other groups that I have joined also(not just modelling) like most......I cannot stand the drivel some needy sad acts post:eek:

Yes, I believe it's the 'Infinite Monkey Theorem' that you're thinking of, it was a theory that if you put an infinite amount of monkeys in a room with a typewriter, they would end up writing at least one line of Shakespeare, the chances were that it would be the quote 'A rose by any other name.' :D

That's the bunny I was thinking of!
