an never thought we had so many in the house
jen an chrisb

I have 5 for winter, 5 for summer (not counting 2 pair sandals), she counts hers' by the toteful.

Chris, I wouldn't even like to guess! We have shoes for everyday use. Waterproof shoes, Two pairs of wellingtons each, In the loft are stored the winter shoes and then there are the shoes she says we need that she spots in sales and such. Don't even get me started about slippers!!! E is a compulsive buyer. (Especially if it's in a sale).

My good lady has many more pairs of shoes than I do and yet still can't find a pair that's suitable for "going out". Very strange :rolling:

NOW THATS LIKE Jen lol as she like glittery shoes or sandels mostly new an then she put some old shoes on until i say why not wear your diamon glitter shoes an then she does if goin to a freinds for a meal Aaaacchhh

Me about 6 the good lady loads, like Jim can never find a suitable pair .

Four ,one pair is hatch match and dispatch ,the other three all trainer style in various stages of cant you put them in the bin and get some new ones ,the other half dont ask about the stash I won't ask how long you've been friends with Amelda Marcos

6 pairs of shoes if you include trainers, my wife, following the theme, loads more.
Although in addition I will admit to 3 pairs of hiking boots, lightweight fabric pair for summer, a lmid weight leather pair for winter, and a heavy stiff leather pair for winter in the mountains as they take crampons.

Shed loads ... and still they come (cue music from Jeff Waynes 'War of the Worlds'!) And, not counting trainers, climbing and walking boots, about five pairs of my own
Steve

Probably about 9 for me all in but that includes trainers, cycling trainers and a couple of pairs of walking boots.

Bucking the trend, my wife probably has a similar amount, unless of course she has a hidden stash somewhere in the house.

I have more pairs of Crocs than shoes, if you don't count my wellies or work safety shoes. Just one pair of nice shoes, one pair of trainers, and some lightweight walking shoes, that's enough for me.

As an indication of my Autistic side, I've been wearing the same style of safety shoes for over 10 years, Dunlop Iowa. Once I wear a pair out (average 6 months) I buy exactly the same again.

Zoë is similarly restrained, although with her plantar fasciitis she has a couple of extra pairs to vary the load on her feet.

I think the ratio here is 6:1 especially now that I'm dumping many of my old "service" shoes and boots.... and it seems our nephew was hit by the the sneakers variant of the same shoe virus :sad-face::tongue-out3:
I'm living happily with 2 black (one pair, from a British brand worldwide known for its desert boots, dates back to 1981...) and 1 brown dress shoes, 1 pair of summer shoes, 2 trainers (one pair is asking for retirement) and 1 pair of winter shoes. :smiling:
