I'm fed up waiting for when I get my garage converted into a modelling den.So I've cleared a table in my workshop at the bottom of the garden.Ive got a 1/48 P47 which I almost finished just before we moved house in Feb.So that's first on the list to do.

Wow, Its really quite interesting the variations of modellers workstations with the available space; I'm trawling this discussion thread to see how I can put together my mancave. I have one undeveloped room within the basement, which is the furnace room where I'll more than likely throw in an L shaped desk and storage cupboard. I'll also need to vent it to the outside when I get the spray booth up and running too. Watch this space!

very nice polux, i wish i had that much space.on a side note it never ceases to amaze how much stuff you can collect for this little hobby,i am forever moving stuff around to fit extra stuff on the shelves..... there is another thread somewhere about posting piccies of the man cave

Just looks like its been moved around a bit and the glass replaced with a mug to me Ole :) :) :) :)

That's pretty grim ole!.Have to say mine gets that bad occasionally.I try to have a tidy up at the end of each build.Doesnt always happen though!.

Not.... it's a pity!!! In this part of the house I haven't windows to see they!!

Thanks Lindsey

Hi Polux, that looks a nice space. Is it what we call a loft conversion, that is in the roof space of a house?

I considered going down that route but in the end I simply built a conservatory/studio on the back of my house. It was much cheaper!

Cheers

Will try to explain...

Imagine a "big" house. It has two spaces (cut in the middle), the first is my house (all open/loft). And the other has two plants. The lower one is a "room" for my business, and the upper one is now my 'cave'. It's under the roof and has just a small windows, and it's on the less sunny part of the house.

It's all made of wood, and it's very warm place.

Just cleaned and tidied my work bench.Found a set of airbrush cleaning brushes I bought a year ago and haven't seen since!.

Nice Dave. looking for ideas as i have to move form a roomy garage to a new abode a flat.

Working on it but I can see it being restrictive.

Nice idea Steve (K). I think I will be OK if my youngest son stays in London I can then use the second bedroom. If not it is most difficult.
